We’re looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer & Project Manager (m/f/d) 60-80%. Together with the SHTC team, within an applied research framework, you design minimal viable prototypes for evidence-based proof of concept, close to industrialization.

Your Profile

Your profile

  • You have a university degree (Master or PhD) in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems Engineering or equivalent field.
  • You have several years of experience in hardware development and PCB design (experience in the field of medical devices is a plus).
  • You have experience in managing projects related to product development (knowledge of ISO 13485 QMS is a plus).
  • You possess a strong sense of responsibility, maintain high work standards, and excel as a collaborative team player.
  • You are able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are passionate about innovation and consider the latest cutting-edge technologies in your daily work.
  • Your language skills (written and oral) are proficient in English. German or French is a plus

Your Skills

  • You understand customers needs and are able to transfer them to technical requirements and implementations.
  • You demonstrate agility when developing medical solutions in environments where requirements and constraints evolve over time.
  • You are able to efficiently manage projects involving multiple stakeholders by coordinating diverse competencies (experience with innovation projects is a plus).
  • Proficiency in electronics design, schematic drawing, and PCB layout (knowledge of IEC60601-1 and related standards is a plus).
  • Experience in analog electronics, particularly in the design and handling of low-amplitude (bio-)signals, is a strong asset.
  • Professional hardware debugging and troubleshooting skills on various platforms.
  • Experience with electronics simulation tools (e.g., SPICE-based tools) for circuit analysis and design validation is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in programming languages commonly used in Desktop and Embedded Systems development, such as C/C++.
  • You can develop GUI software, and you are familiar with IoT-transfer protocols.
Your Tasks
  • Design and development of medical and health-tech solutions including prototypes and minimal viable products (hardware + embedded systems)
  • Manage Innovation and industry projects involving multiple stakeholders (engineering, research, clients, clinicians)
  • Translate customer and project needs into technical solutions
  • Report, document and track project progress (incl. budget)
  • Develop electronics systems including schematic design and PCB layout
  • Debug, test, and validate hardware systems
  • Contribute to embedded software development (C/C++)
