This PN forms the basis on which we process any personal data we receive in connection with your use of and interaction with this website or any other online presence managed by us, including our social media presences as well as our applications (“Apps”) (collectively referred to as the “Website”).

This website may contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that they have their own PN and we cannot be held liable or responsible for them.

2. What personal data do we process from you, for what purpose and with whom do we share it?

This data is collected and processed for the purpose of enabling the use of our website (establishing a connection), ensuring system security and stability on a permanent basis and enabling the optimisation of our Internet offering, as well as for internal statistical purposes. This is done on the basis of our legitimate interests as defined in Article 6(f) of the GDPR.

To this end, we are supported by our partners, which are themselves subject to data protection regulations, which we have carefully selected and which are contractually obliged to comply with data protection, especially with regard to data security.

2.4. If you would like to become an AP-SSF member

On our Swiss Smart Factory website, companies and individuals can apply to become members of the Association for the Promotion of “Swiss Smart Factory” (“AP-SSF”). The AP-SSF is an independent legal entity in the form of an association within the meaning of Art. 60ff. of the Swiss Civil Code. The data you provide on the application form will be processed by the AP-SSF for the purpose of reviewing your application and contacting you in this regard. Such an application is voluntary (within the meaning of Art. 6 lit. a GDPR). If you have any further questions, please contact the AP-SSF directly.

 

2.5. If you participate in our events

We organise events and training courses for which guests, customers and interested parties can register on our website. By registering in this way, you consent (within the meaning of Art. 6 lit. a GDPR) to us processing your email address, surname, first name, title, company, telephone number and, if applicable, position and department for the purpose of processing the registrations, holding the event and, if necessary, invoicing, and then archiving or deleting the data in accordance with legal requirements. We may pass this data on to a co-organiser for joint processing or to an agency/partner for processing on our behalf, limited to the purpose of processing your registration and participation in the event. We remain your point of contact.

We organise events to which guests, customers and interested parties are invited. Participants are normally invited by us, but may also be guests of other participants or individuals who have learned about our event in some other way and decide to attend. We process data from individuals with whom we are in direct contact as described in the Newsletter section, and from others as necessary for maintaining a guest list (i.e. surname, first name, email address).

We take photographs for the purpose of documenting and further marketing our events and activities. This will be indicated at the entrance and, if applicable, in the invitation. Such photographs are usually atmospheric photos in which individual participants are not depicted individually but may be recognisable. In addition, participants are free to pose for photos alone or together with others. By participating and posing, we assume that you agree to us using such photos for internal documentation and for publication on our channels (newsletter, website, social media). If you do not agree to this, please contact us in advance or at the event itself, or send us a message afterwards as indicated below.

We are supported by our partners in receiving and processing registrations and communicating with you. These partners are subject to data protection regulations, have been carefully selected by us and are contractually obliged to comply with data protection regulations, particularly with regard to data security.

2.6. If you work with us or purchase services from us

In order to work with us, you or your organisation must enter into a contract with us (within the meaning of Art. 6 lit b GDPR). To do this, we require data such as your surname, first name, title, organisation (if applicable), telephone number, email address, delivery address, billing address and payment method. This enables us to verify the contractual relationship with you or your organisation and, if necessary, enter into it. On the other hand, this allows us to provide the services or deliver the goods requested by you or your organisation for the purpose of contract execution. In addition, we create a file about you or your organisation containing your contact details, work performed, transactions, communication, documents created or received, time spent, and information for invoicing and accounting. We will store all of this in accordance with legal requirements.

 

2.7. If you subscribe to our newsletter

If you decide to subscribe to our newsletter, you consent (within the meaning of Art. 6 lit. a GDPR) to us processing your email address, surname, first name, title, your organisation (if applicable) and your interaction with our newsletter in order to send you our newsletter by email, to ensure receipt and, based on your interaction, to improve our offering where necessary. 2.8. When you apply for a job with us

You can apply to us via our job and application platform. If you do so, you consent (within the meaning of Art. 6 lit. a GDPR) to us processing your email address, surname, first name, title, address, all data in your CV, your references and certificates, and all other data and letters that you send us for your application in order to check your application, communicate with you in this regard and, if necessary, contact your references. You can revoke your consent at any time. If your application is not successful, we will delete your documents after one year at the latest. 4. Do we disclose your personal data abroad?

We work with various partners at home and abroad (see above). In principle, these are located in countries with an appropriate level of data protection. If disclosure to individual countries requires additional protection, we ensure this by agreeing standard data protection clauses approved by the authorities with such partners or by relying on the self-certification of such partners under the relevant frameworks.

 

5. What are your rights towards us?

You have the right:

· request us to restrict the processing of your personal data, in particular to object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes; and

· require us to provide you or a natural or legal person appointed by you with a digital file of your personal data (data portability).
