Medtech Innovation Event 2025
Now in its 11th year, the Medtech Innovation Event (MIE) once again proved to be a highlight for the Medtech and Healthtech community. Hosted on 1 September 2025 at the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, the event delivered on its promise of quality over quantity.
The signature matchmaking session allowed participants to book a whopping 132 exclusive 1-to-1 meetings with speakers, start-ups, exhibitors, and fellow attendees – creating a unique environment for meaningful connections.
The program featured:
- A thought-provoking keynote by Adrian Hunn, Director of Swiss Medtech, addressing “Global Pressures, Local Innovation: How Medtech adapts.”
- Engaging discussions included the “Start-Up – Investor – Hospital” panel with Rodolphe Eurin (former CEO, Hôpital de La Tour), Marjan Kraak (Health Innovation Hub Aargau) and Cyrill Gyger (QUMEA).
- Entrepreneurs Dominic Senn (machineMD) and Andreas Hugi (AlveoliX) shared “Medtech Do’s & Don’ts,” while six hidden gems from the Medtech start-up scene pitched their innovations.
- A dynamic pitching session showcased six promising start-ups, adding fresh perspectives to the field:

3. Prevision Medecine AG – Philip Zimmermann
4. Rhovica Neuroimaging AG – Martin Hlavica

Complementing the sessions, the tabletop exhibition highlighted innovative Medtech/Healthtech solutions and research projects, further enriching the experience.
MIE 2025 once again reaffirmed its role as an essential platform for innovators, entrepreneurs, and healthcare leaders to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and shape the future of Medtech.
