Data Scientist (m/f/d)

The “Swiss Smart Factory” at Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne conducts applied research in innovative industrial and research projects. We are currently looking for a committed individual to work on several research projects in the context of “Industry 4.0” , “Data Science” and “Generative AI”.

Your Profile

Experience in the application of machine learning algorithms in complex technology solutions, ideally including deep learning, generative models and LLMs
Independent and creative way of working, e.g. in research projects
Courage to innovate and strong interest in new interdisciplinary questions
Good knowledge and experience in Python, C++, C#, Node.js, Rust or Kotlin, as well as in frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch or Hugging Face
Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Good language skills in German or French
Knowledge and experience with Git, web development or IoT connectivity are an advantage
Experience with cloud environments, innovation projects and agile working methods is an advantage.

Your Tasks

Carrying out and, if applicable, leading research projects in the field of machine learning, deep learning, LLM-based agents, optimisation algorithms or robotics
Programming innovative web, AI and IoT solutions in the field of Industry 4.0.
Preparing and analysing data for applied research and industrial projects
Designing and building system prototypes to demonstrate research results
You will work on software designs, prototypes and testing, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, customers and management
